The work shown in Design+ is a snapshot of our community and partnerships. CoCreate’s work is grounded in participation and creativity, using co-design to address challenges in our communities, collaboratively.

Design+ includes contributions from faculty, academic staff, doctoral candidates, and students, as well as our external partners.The works presented in this exhibition are built around the Design School’s research themes.

Alongside exhibited works, we are running a series of co-creative activities and events through the month of April , listed below. Activities will all be held within the exhibition space itself, please contact the even organisers for more details:

Exploring decentralised voice assistant futures through speculative design with Jon Rogers and Michael Shorter

Date: April 4^th Time: 10:00-16:00 Organiser: Eleanor O’Neill	Knitting: questioning the power of a yarn-bomb	This research activity asks the viewer to reflect on the impact of a yarn-bomb by answering three questions on an anonymous postcard.
Date: April 4^th Time: 13:00-15:00 Organiser: Jon Rogers, Michael Shorter	Speak up! Exploring decentralised voice assistant futures through speculative design	Join us to unpack the complexities of voice assistant technologies in a speculative design workshop to create the futures we want.
Date: April 5^th Time: 11:00-12:30 Organiser: Stacey Pitsillides	Donate Yourself – a workshop exploring the legacy of our organs, tissue and body data.	Join this workshop to explore how we see our body after death, using a bespoke kit to delve into our personal relationship to body, tissue and data donation.
Date: April 7^th Time: 13:30-15:30 Organiser: Angelika Strohmayer	Embroidered Protections: a participatory patchwork embroidery project to explore meanings of ‘women’s safety’	We invite you to embroider pieces related to women’s (un)safety, to contribute to the ’embroidered protections’ sister quilts.
