Jens Alexander Ewald

Jens is a PhD candidate in the OpenDoTT project looking at the relationship of wearable IoT and the self. A background in philosophy and design have led to strong interest in computational things and the cultural impact they create through art and design. As a member of the sound art collective Staalplaat Soundsystem (http://staalplaat.org) he builds electronics and software transforming everyday objects, trees and train stations into resonant instruments. Before becoming a researcher, Jens has taught interactive prototyping for nearly a decade as a senior lecturer at the Muthesius University for Art and Design.
