I am a researcher in the area of design management and design-led innovation. My research largely focuses on the way in which multinational science and technology-led organisations adopt design-led approaches to innovation into their existing organisational innovation practices. This research has resulted in collaborations with several multinational organisations including Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser and Parker Hannifin. I have also carried out research exploring the role of designers within multidisciplinary innovation teams and the role that design-led innovation can play within the innovation processes and strategy of small and medium-sized enterprises. My work within CoCreate centred around understanding perceptions of fatigue amongst healthcare workers through a qualitative inquiry into existing working practices and recovery strategies, in order to inform further research surrounding the role that technology can play in improving the experiences of healthcare practitioners.
