Luke Sellers
PhD Student
Luke is interested in how things relate and interact with other things.
He has a background in visual arts with an interest in the performative aspect of handmade objects and props. Luke is also a trained integrative counsellor, and this plays a key role in his approach to working as a designer.
Luke’s research is concerned with perceptions of identity and curation of self in both digital and physical worlds. He is keen to explore and understand what ‘betwixt and between’ might look like.
Although not a military man, Luke is interested in the turns of phrase used by armed forces to understand situations. These include; ‘Suffering catastrophic success’, ‘Bandwidth capacity issues’ and 75 steps per minute being ‘The most dignified way to move’ (‘The appearance of gliding’).
