In particular, we address inequalities around how women\u2019s achievements have been commemorated in the UK landscape.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Part of the <b><u><a id=\"OWA0a598468-d897-3c0b-eb16-84e411879d49\" title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/invisiblewomen.org.uk\/. Click or tap if you trust this link.\" href=\"https:\/\/invisiblewomen.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">inVISIBLEwomen<\/a><\/u><\/b> network, Claudine van Hensbergen has led on commemorative plaque projects, produced new research to inform our understanding of Poets\u2019 Corner, and supervised a number of PhDs that explore the relationship between women and the UK&#8217;s art collections. This has brought her into dialogue with artists, musicians, schools, and a range of institutions from the Arts and Heritage-sectors. They are together, exploring how we can write women\u2019s inspirational achievements back into our public spaces.<\/p><div>Monika Smialkowska&#8217;s research on Shakespeare&#8217;s afterlives brought her into collaboration with the &#8216;Shakey Gardeners&#8217;, a <a href=\"https:\/\/friendsofplattfields.org.uk\/shakespeare-garden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">group of volunteers<\/a> in Manchester who have restored the city&#8217;s 1923 Shakespeare Garden at Platt Fields. This was held at Manchester Central Library and was accompanied by <a id=\"LPlnk376336\" title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/oxfordroadcorridor.com\/events\/how-manchester-made-shakespeare-modern-at-central-library\/.
