He is a design ethnographer with a background in critical theory. He recently co-edited the Springer book\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/northumbria.design\/people\/blythe\/#https:\/\/www.springer.com\/gb\/book\/9783319682129\">Funology 2<\/a>\u00a0with the lovely Andrew Monk. He also co-edited the MIT book\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/northumbria.design\/people\/blythe\/#https:\/\/mitpress.mit.edu\/books\/critical-theory-and-interaction-design\">Critical Theory and Interaction Design<\/a>\u00a0with the fabulous Jeffrey and Shaowen Bardzell. Lately he has jumped on the \u201cdesign fiction\u201d bandwagon and co authored \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Research-Experiments-Foundations-Human-Computer-Interaction\/dp\/1680834185\">Research Fiction and Thought Experiments in Design\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0with the frankly
