Trusting Machines? Cross-sector Lessons from Healthcare and Security

On 1st July 2021 omddac PI, Dr Marion Oswald and omddac researcher, Ardi Janjeva will be presenting at a major conference exploring trustworthy autonomous systems. The conference, running from 30th June-2nd July 2021 and organised by RUSI and the UKRI TAS (Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub), will focus on the theme ‘Trusting Machines? Cross-sector Lessons from Healthcare and Security’ and will bring together academic experts, policy leaders, industry professionals and the public to discuss a future where autonomous machines integrate into two of our most vital sectors.

On 1st July at 11.45, Ardi Janjeva will join an expert panel to discuss the findings of the omddac snapshot reports and debate the theme ‘Trust in Non-Human Intelligence: Can Understanding Lead to Confidence?’, with omddac PI Dr Marion Oswald delivering a keynote address at 14.30.
