It is intended as a brief guide to the typical route; specific requirements are confirmed with the laboratory team on a case-by-case basis.<\/p><h3><b>Contact<\/b><\/h3><p class=\"MsoNormal\">For all enquiries please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/hosting.northumbria.ac.uk\/tf-fab\/contact\/\">contact form<\/a> or email the thin film laboratory manager at c.c.lukose [at] northumbria.ac.uk.<\/p><h3><strong>Typical process flow<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Access request made via web form, email or other means.<\/li><li>After email acknowledgement our team will arrange a meeting to confirm requirements (sample size and numbers, materials, film properties, etc).<\/li><li>The team will review health and safety requirements, target supply and prepare a costing proposal.\u00a0<\/li><li>Once the proposal is accepted, the client confirms acceptance in writing and provides any purchase order or internal charge code.<\/li><li>If applicable, lab time is scheduled and the client completes any required access arrangements, including a safety induction before first attendance.<\/li><li>Samples are fabricated to the agreed specification and inspected against the target film properties.<\/li><li>Completed samples and any accompanying summary are returned to the client, and feedback is requested to close the request.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>Health, safety and induction<\/strong><\/h3><p>All users must comply with the laboratory&#8217;s health and safety requirements.
