Leila Hogarth
Doctoral Researcher
My doctoral research investigates how UX designers conceptualise ethical data uses when designing with machine learning. My research is sponsored through an AHRC National Productivity Investment Fund studentship. I previously trained as a journalist and have ten year’s experience working across communications and digital innovation in local government, higher education, and the third sector. I bring interdisciplinary critical thinking to projects and am interested in the strategic use of design and data in ethically responsible digital technologies. I also have a first class MA in Multidisciplinary Innovation, with expertise in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.
