NU-OMICS has an assortment of liquid handing machines located in both the pre-PCR and post-PCR labs to meet sample to sequencing preparation needs
Tecan Dream Prep
Located in our post-PCR lab, the TECAN Dream Prep was acquired in 2022 in order to automate several of our high-throughput library preparation processes.
Hamilton Microlab Star
Acquired in 2017, the Hamilton Star was our first liquid handling robot. It is located in our pre-PCR lab and is used to prepare PCR reactions for a wide array of library preparation protocols.
Opentrons OT-2
Located in our pre-PCR lab, the Opentrons OT-2 was acquired in 2021 and is used to dilute DNA samples along with many other processes.
QIAGEN QIACube HT
Located in our pre-PCR lab, the QIAGEN QIACube HT was acquired in 2021 and used extensively during COVID-19 sequencing.
Kingfisher Flex
Located in our post-PCR lab, the KingFisher Flex was acquired in 2024 and is used for high-throughput DNA clean up.
Kingfisher Apex
Located in our pre-PCR lab, the Kingfisher Apex was acquired in 2021 and is used for high-throughput DNA extractions and DNA clean up.
